Our Restoration Association has been pretty busy these last few weeks. Once we closed on the sale of the Burwell Building, we have been cleaning out the downstairs of all the items left over from the previous owner. Have you seen the dumpsters out front full of garbage? There is a lot to clean out!
Oh, and we were a little busy being interviewed too...we were on the radio (thanks Sharon Heavilin for representing us) and were featured in two local Newspapers.
Will Brumleve from The Ford County Chronicle interviewed several board members following our purchase of the building. Will has been an awesome supporter of our association and always ensures our weekly Queen of Hearts drawing recap makes it to the paper. Thanks Will for all you do for us!

The Pantagraph caught wind of our story and drove out to Gibson City to see the building and take some video with their drone. Pretty cool!

Did you see the picture they took of the upstairs Opera House? One day this room will be as grand as it was when M. T. Burwell first built it!
We are still opening the building up for our 'garage sale' in the hopes of clearing out more items from the first floor. We will be open again this Saturday, July 23rd from 9-12 am. Please stop by and look around and make us an offer on any items left over - including fixtures. We have many great items still available - some brand new in the box! Join us at 107 N. Sangamon Ave.
See you then!
