Queen of Hearts
Our largest fundraiser is the Queen of Hearts drawing we hold each week. Please read below for more details on how the game works, where to find it and how to play virtually.

Every Wednesday night we meet for our Queen of Hearts drawing. Follow our Facebook page for the latest jackpot amount, available cards, and additional details:
How it Works:
Players buy a ticket for $1 each, 6 for $5, 12 for $10, or 25 for $20 and write the card number that they feel the Queen of Hearts card might be hiding behind. A member of the Gibson City Restoration committee will draw a ticket from the tumbler at 7 pm. If the queen of hearts is behind the card that the winning ticket chose to reveal, then that person wins the jackpot (subject to additional rules noted below)!
Official Rules:
-
Our Queen of Hearts drawing is held weekly on Wednesdays at 7:00 pm.
-
Players must be at least 21 (twenty-one) years of age to play
-
All tickets are $1.00 each, 6 for $5, 12 for $10, or 25 for $20. There is no limit on the number of tickets you can purchase.
-
Tickets are sold immediately after each drawing until 15 minutes before the next drawing. Tickets are destroyed after each drawing.
-
You may purchase tickets at The Fashion Shop, NAPA, or via Venmo @GibsonCityQueenOfHearts. If purchasing via Venmo, all money must be received before 11 pm the day prior to the drawing. Any tickets purchased after 11 pm on Tuesday will go towards the following week’s drawing (assuming the Queen is not drawn that week).
-
There can only be one NAME OR PIN per ticket and one card number chosen from the game board. Pin numbers are assigned by committee members. Pin numbers are valid from the previous Ed Day Skate Park committee drawings. If you have no pin number write your name and phone number on the ticket. Do not use nicknames, abbreviations, or initials. Your name MUST match a driver’s license or state ID to be eligible.
-
Folded, bended, or crumpled tickets are ineligible. No adhesive address labels are permitted.
-
Tickets improperly filled out will be discarded and the jackpot will roll over.
-
Tickets will be drawn by a member of the Restoration Association and verified by a committee of three.
-
The player of the winning ticket has five minutes to claim their prize, at the sales table, after the winning ticket has been drawn. If absent or late to claim your prize you receive 50% of prize.
-
When a ticket winner finds the Queen of Hearts, they will receive 100% of the listed designated specific jackpot, if claimed within 5 minutes.
-
If a ticket winner finds any of the following cards: Joker (first joker only), Ace, King, Ten, or Deuce, a designated specific amount of winnings will be awarded at 100%, if claimed within 5 minutes.
-
If your ticket is drawn and you do not claim your prize within the designated time , and your card selection uncovers the Queen of Hearts, you will receive 50% of the listed specific jackpot. The remainder will be added to the new board.
-
All prize money and payouts are determined by the staged amount in the jackpot.
-
If a ticket winner finds any of the following cards: Joker, Ace, King, Ten, or Deuce, you receive the designated value of the card as determined by the jackpot. If you are not present the amount stays in the jackpot.
-
Joker Reset: If the second joker is revealed before the Queen of Hearts is found, the game ends. A new gam will begin the following week with a new game board. The Jackpot will carry over to the new game.
-
In case the Queen of Hearts is drawn, and the player is ineligible, the board will be destroyed, and a new Queen of Hearts Board will be started. The jackpot will carry over to the new game.
-
All winning players are responsible for any and all taxes. A W2-G will be issued for prizes over $5,000. No prize over $5,000 will be paid until the W2-G information is completely filled out. If a player is unwilling or unable to provide W-2 information, the prize money will revert to the Restoration Association.
-
When submitting your payments thru Venmo, all players must provide their pin number or phone number along with the card #. If you don’t list any card numbers or if you have listed card numbers that are out of play, the Restoration Association will randomly assign numbers to your tickets for you.
-
All previous tickets are destroyed after each drawing and new ticket sales begin.
-
Rules are subject to change by approval of the Gibson City Restoration Association Executive Board.
